Dear Ms. Guerra,

Thank you for giving me a great compliment: when I said my email address, you actually looked delighted! This, from the silken-voiced announcer I'd listened to so many times on NPR. What fun to put a face to such a familiar name I hear every day at work on the estimable WUOM!

I was joking to my fiance Fritz (the gentleman you interviewed) that your reading my humble blog is one of the "Life List Items" of things to accomplish before, well, you know--oh, it's so awkward and difficult to say--(whispers) "going to one's reward." It so happens that I got an email from Richard Dawkins once. That went on the life list as a Checked-Off Item. And "Jennifer Guerra Reads My Blog" is now also checked off!

At any rate, you flatter me so much: the blog is back at the humble Diaryland, where it all began: http://ypsi-dixit.diaryland.com/. Sometimes it looks a tad odd in Internet Explorer; Firefox and Safari look just fine.

I look forward to casually dropping your name at work, such as "What a nice sweater. It reminds me of the elegant grey dress Jennifer Guerra was wearing when I chatted with her the other night," or, "Your shoes are such a pretty brown. They remind me of the color of Jennifer Guerra's eyes." Well, maybe not that; that's a bit weird. I look forward also to hearing your stories many many more times, before...well...oh dear, how can I say this?--OK--"turning off NPR tomorrow." Ack! It's true, I do turn off NPR at the end of the day. (Quickly) But only for a minimal sleep period, after which I promptly turn it on again! And no wonder...you interview such fascinating people.

Thank you again,

Laura B. (Ypsidixit)

If there was any question before, there can no longer be now: Your ship has come in :)

Trusty: Thank you for the kind words. To add to what you said, I feel my ship came in when I met Fritz in the sustainable group. Yessir, that ship is in for good.
