awesome! I'll be there! (but not in September, unfortunately- my sundays are all booked, and I work during the week.)

Oh, this silly black background (sigh) I had to rebuild my template, but I forgot to do so for the comment-form, argh. I'll fix it tonight, assuming I an dredge up the html from my sulci and gyri.

Suzie, I got 2 deerskins at last year's Heritage Festival with the crazy-even-for-me idea that I would sew myself some Buckskin (sound of whinnying deer) pants to...um...(whispers) go boating in like the voyageurs.

(Breezily) But that was back in my 30s. Why, I was practically a child back then. (Soberly) I know better now. Really.

Suzie (p.s.) I think they'll be mobbed, especially on Sundays. I think there's a real hunger in YPsilanti for a voyageur-era tavern.

Now, if *I* were in charge of this operation (B&B owner makes sign of the cross) why, I'd hire me some local actors, one in particular who also serves on our fine City Council, and have them reenact typical voyageur scenes in the dining room. "Lunch Theater." Yessir, have a couple o' them a-roisterin' about, spittin' terbaccy left and right, "air paddling" [like air guitar] and yodeling traditional canoeing ballads--maybe even in French!

Once you've got this 17th-century theme going, you might as well play it to the hilt!
