Sun in Leo, pretty much everything else in Virgo - 2007-09-01 17:52:32
Hey, if Camille Paglia (Aries, unsurprisingly) can believe in astrology, then, dad gum it, I can't be blamed for giving it a peek. Virgo types like Y. don't generally give a whiz about what other people think, anyways. Too busy worrying about their vitamin K levels. And organizing their socks.

Here is a much more optimistic take on the upcoming transit. Excerpt:

"Among the signs, Virgo is one that's well known for generally not minding work. In fact, Virgo thrives at applying its astute analytic brainpower to earthly tasks, in the quest for palpable real-world results. For those who have Virgo prominent in their charts [your humble scribe --Ed.], Saturn's arrival is likely to bestow a sense of finally being able to return to one's top efficiency levels, content with putting aside the self-indulgence of 'ego issues' to actually get stuff done."

I am about to write this one up. I do my astrology a bit more like the second guy than the first one.

Saturn does mean structure, it also means limits and order. Where Jupiter represents faith, Saturn represents religion. Where Jupiter represents commerce, Saturn represents business organizations, where Jupiter represents education, Saturn represents the school board and so forth.

Saturn has a way of bringing things down to earth, and providing the structure and standards without which which we cannot produce excellence.

Saturn in Virgo is great for folks with placements in Capricorn, less fun for those with placements in Taurus.

For Virgo itself, the challenge will be to "make it real". Stop mulling it over and driving yourself crazy with possibilities, do the danged thing and either make it go or let it go.

Realty comes a-calling... can the mutable signs make up their minds?

Have fun

Rob, those are great comments. Yep, it's time for Virgo types to "make it real." I've been thinking about writing a book about the history of a certain animal in Michigan. I feel like things are conspiring to motivate me to go do the research and git-r-done.

For me it seems to tie in to my upcoming marriage as well. Time to really concentrate on serving another person and being down to earth, and doing my best.
